Today in my ESL class I was teaching them about apostrophes and tried to tell the story of Lynne Truss protesting with an apostrophe on a stick at "Two Weeks Notice" (I think that was the story ...) but my students thought I was more mad than fascinating. They just didn't get how crucial correct apostrophes are to me :-( Heath, a man after my own heart … Eats, Shoots and Leaves, what a classic.
