I was wrong, but still amused. :) 2nd: I genuinely meant that I thought it was well-paced! So many books rush into conflicts (OR are way boring and never get to it) but I feel like your first 5k words move at an appropriate pace, at least for a beginning. (I can't really speculate on the rest of the book's pacing, of course!) 3rd: Aw, thanks for the shoutout! Siiiigh. I too was losing all my fiction writing time to ABNA and promoting my excerpt last week. But now that I've had a chance to calm down, I realize I'd be better off continuing to work on my writing so I can submit The Good Daughters to agents. Particularly since I'm fairly certain the PW reviewers are going to pan me.
